Calvin Harris was involved in a catastrophic traffic accident Friday night.
In that accident, a 16-year-old driver was also involved, due to the magnitude of the impact generated by the collision one of the passengers was catapulted out of the vehicle. Calvin was injured, with serious injuries, a facial laceration to be more specific. Calvino was rushed to the Los Angeles hospital, the artist is said to have wanted a private room, and when they said he was unavailable he jumped off the gurney and fled the hospital before being released, according to a news report.
The VW Beetle was full of teenagers and the crash was so violent that one of the passengers, a girl, who was sitting on her boyfriend’s lap was ejected from the vehicle and suffered a fractured pelvis.
Calvin Harris has canceled his Saturday performance at the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Twitter account designated to report information about the famous three-day festival shared the news the next day; that Harris suffered minor injuries in a vehicle accident. The pop rock band Panic at the Disco replaced the DJ’s place.
The DJ was on his way to the airport when a Volkswagen reportedly carrying a group of teenagers mistakenly crossed the center line and crashed into Harris’ Cadillac SUV around 11 p.m.
