Real Housewives of Orange County stars Judge Tamra and Vicki Gunvalson were injured in an ATV crash during a taping of the show.

An ATV ride turned into a horror story when the Polaris RZR ATV vehicle, in which Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson, the stars of the TV show “Real Housewives of Orange County,” were traveling took not just one, but several terrifying turns in Glamis, California, on Saturday.
The ATV vehicle overturned several times and both were taken to a nearby hospital, and reporters moved to the scene almost as quickly as the crash happened.
Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson say they are lucky to stay alive after being involved in an ATV accident. The accident occurred while they were allegedly filming scenes from the show.
The 48-year-old judge, who was driving the ATV, wrote on her Instagram account Sunday that she and Gunvalson “took a beating” but “are very lucky to be alive.”
“After the accident they received many text messages, twitter messages and phone calls asking if the accident was true and I can confirm that it was. Thank you for your prayers and concerns,” he wrote.
I had never been so scared in my life. As a driver, I have an overwhelming burden of guilt and I’m really happy that the four of us are alive.”

All-terrain vehicles, or ATVs, are three- or four-wheeled. They are used for both work activities and recreation. ATVs are associated with a high number of injuries each year, especially those that occur during sports driving. In 2010 alone, there were an estimated 115,000 ATV-related injuries in the United States. Between 1982 and 2010 there were more than 11,000 ATV crash deaths in the U.S. California had more fatalities reported during that time than any other state.
